It served a functional, decorative element of modest size but with a strong personality to be made available to customers of the Hotel in charge of the relooking of their rooms. For this simple stool we have therefore inspired a historical icon of design, the juicer “Juicy Salif”, drawn by Philippe Starck in 1990 for Alessi, a sacred image from the sculptural traits, whose shapes seem to have been inspired by a squid served to the designer during a vacation. The stool was made by an assembly of powder-coated steel elements for the structure, while the seat was obtained using solid recovery oak.
